Details
These flush trim plunge router bits are versatile, useful for template/pattern routing of parts, joints, and internal cuts, and can be used in hand-held and table-mounted routers. They are essentially plunge-cutting straight with shank-mounted ball-bearing pilots.
The template is attached to the workpiece, and the pilot bearing rides along its edge as the cutting edges rout the workpiece, forming an exact duplicate of the template. With a hand-held router, the pattern is on top of the work; with a table-mounted router, the pattern is underneath the work.
#47220, #47222, #47222-S and #47223-S have a miniature 3/16" dia. ball bearing, while #47221-S, #47224 and #47224-S have a miniature 1/4" dia. ball bearing.
#45481 for use on hardwood and flooring medallions.
WARNING! 47220, 47721-S, 47222, 47222-S, 47224 & 47224-S reduce feed by 30-50% to prevent tool breakage due to extremely small diameter (D). Bits are not guaranteed due to extremely small diameter.
**Up Shear and Down-Shear Angles: These shear angles cut faster, cleaner and lasts longer than straight angle because of the chip removal speed. Amana Tool recommends using a shear angle in most instances especially where large diameters are used.
